On July 25th 2013 Captain Chris, his son CJ, Bryan, Mike, Tommy, and Buddy went to the Washington in search of a bigeye bite. Instead we caught a small yellowfin, a nice dolphin, and not one mako on mono…. but two. The big mako hit a $100 black bart which will never be seen again. Money well spent for that shark though. RIP black bart! We managed to get the islander back from the baby mako! Seas turned on us out of nowhere in an instance. We pushed 7 to 8 knots about 45 miles home. Talk about a long, exhausting trip. Great job to Captain Chris who brought everyone back safely and with some great fishing stories. A day to remember.
