“Hi, my name is Captain Layne Wagner of Hawk One Charters. I’ve been a captain for over 40 years. I’ve fished all over the world and now I’m up here in Long Island, New York. You can find me online at Hawk One Charters, www.hawkonecharters.com. I’ll be talking to you today about saltwater fishing.
Saltwater fishing: How to get started.
To get started in saltwater fishing is very simple, just have the desire and the ability to get to a boat and try it. A party boat is an excellent way to get started because you don’t have to own any equipment. They supply the rods, the reels, and the bait. It’s a safe environment with mates that will teach you and explain things to you. Mostly you’re going to start with fluke, it’s a bottom fish that lives in bays and outside in the ocean but it’s very easy to get to by these party boats and you don’t have to worry about a thing. But that’s all it takes to go fishing. Have the desire, the nerve to get started and pick a boat to go fishing on.
