We launched at Miller’s Point to a glistening, flat sea. The gulls and dolphins bid us farewell on our 2 hour journey to the Deep. When passing Cape Point we could not help but to stop for some Yellowtail. The water was boiling with fish. Spinning with plugs and spoons we quickly got two, but it’s so easy to get stuck there so we packed up and headed to the deep blue, warm waters. Out came the heavy gear and the fresh pilchard bait. With four hooks in and among a bait line it was just a matter of time. Fish on!
Getting up at 4am was never this worth it!
