While on a trip to Costa Rica’s west coast in February 2014, I had the chance to do some kayak fishing in the bays of Papagayo Peninsula. I chose to fish in the mornings when the tide, wind, and current were low. This brought in massive schools of baitfish, which attracted birds and predatory species of fish. While jigging a diamond jig, I was able to hook up to this beautiful ladyfish. It put up a great fight and I was very fortunate to catch its jumps on camera. This video was made with a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition Action Camera.
